AFFIRMATIVE 

(Subject + verb in past, termination "ed")

Example

• I worked

To form the past in English, "-ed" is added to a verb.

• Work ---> Worked

Although you have to keep in mind that for regular verbs, you have to memorize their form in the past.

Example

Verb ----------> Past

To go ----------> Went

NEGATIVE

(subject + did + not + verb in infinitive)

Example

• I did not sing

INTERROGATIVE

(Did + subject + verb in infinitive)

Example

• Did i sing?
